DBT Therapist, Master's or Doctoral – Telehealth, Full-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver individualized DBT therapy to adult clients through live video sessions.

• Conduct DBT skills groups via live video.

• Assign digital lessons, videos, and assessments relevant to DBT.

• Enhance client learning and track progress between sessions.

• Provide culturally sensitive care to clients from diverse backgrounds, needs, and abilities.

• Participate in weekly consultation team meetings.

• Engage in one-on-one consultation sessions with a leading expert in DBT.

• Collaborate with other DBT providers to co-lead skills groups.

• Attend comprehensive training to improve clinical skills.

• Offer evidence-based care to support clients with intricate needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold an unrestricted, active license in New York or Massachusetts, permitting independent practice without supervision and without current or pending disciplinary actions.

• New York LMFT/LCSW licenses must possess diagnostic privileges.

• Completion of formal didactic training in DBT is required.

• At least one year of experience in delivering comprehensive DBT, including Stage 1 individual therapy, skills groups using Linehan materials, participation in consultation teams, and skills coaching.

• DBT-LBC certification is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience and enthusiasm for working with clients exhibiting high-risk behaviors, such as suicidal ideation and/or self-injury.

• Openness to obtaining cross-licensing in additional states as necessary.

• Prior experience in providing telehealth therapy services is preferred but not required.

• Proficiency in computer and live video tools, such as Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, or Skype.
