This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.
• Support and enhance the firm's data ecosystem across hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
• Act as the technical owner for mission-critical database systems.
• Ensure maximum availability and reliability of essential database systems within hybrid infrastructure.
• Administer, configure, and optimize SQL Server 2016+ Always On availability groups, clustering, and replication topologies.
• Manage Windows patching and SQL Server cumulative updates.
• Lead significant database upgrade initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate across functions to design scalable and resilient database architectures.
• Work closely with Enterprise Applications, Application Development, IT, and PMO teams.
• Over 5 years of experience in SQL Server administration.
• Proficient in SQL Server 2016+.
• Experienced with high availability technologies such as Always On Availability Groups, clustering, and replication.
• Deep knowledge of both cloud and on-premises data environments.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Practical experience with enterprise SQL monitoring and backup platforms.
• Ability to automate operational workflows using PowerShell.
• Support and optimize Power BI Service and Power BI Server.
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
