This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide assistance for the IETSS MM program.
• Evaluate current and potential diverse data sources.
• Engage in the validation of data quality.
• Construct, test, schedule, and troubleshoot extract, transform, and load (ETL) SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) projects, solutions, and tasks developed in SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) and executed from SQL Server.
• Continuously measure, analyze, and enhance database system performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any database system issues in real-time.
• Create, modify, and maintain complex SQL queries.
• Review and propose improvements to suggested database modifications.
• Support all aspects of solution deployment activities.
• Plan and conduct regular database maintenance periodically.
• Be available for after-hours activities on occasion as required.
• Assist in the creation of data visualizations and reports in Power BI or other IETSS-approved reporting/data visualization tools.
• Help with the extraction of requirements and assignments for proposed or upcoming initiatives.
• Develop database objects, including but not limited to tables, functions, procedures, views, and database links in SQL Server using standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Review and extract information regarding IETSS processes, policies, and procedures from IETSS documentation.
• Contribute to or draft sections of TPQI Measures and Metrics documentation.
• Support quality and process improvement methodologies to develop and continually update the TPQI Plan.
• Assist in the creation, review, and revision of IETSS program and process documentation and artifact templates.
• Over 5 years of experience in SQL database administration, database development, data engineering, or a comparable technical role.
• Knowledge of relational database technologies and data normalization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server 2022 or higher.
• Experience with database backup and recovery.
• Skills in disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Ability to produce, review, and update system and procedural documentation.
• Expertise in creating, tuning, and maintaining complex SQL queries.
• Familiarity with data warehouse architecture, design, and implementation.
• Proficient in Transact-SQL programming.
• Experience with SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT).
• Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Ability to design and maintain extract, transform, and load (ETL) packages, tasks, and processes.
• Experience in building and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) and management reports.
• Proficiency in SharePoint Online.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio 2013 or higher.
• Experience with TOAD for SQL Server or SSMS.
• Knowledge of Remote Desktop Connection.
• Experience in United States government-related work (e.g., Department of Defense, VA).
