Database Administrator, SQL Server

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Manage and oversee SQL Server databases effectively.

• Guarantee data security, integrity, availability, and optimal performance.

• Create and document physical data models as necessary.

• Modify database tables and objects as required.

• Develop installation guides, procedures, and other pertinent documentation.

• Conduct proofs of concept and prototyping as necessary.

• Provide support for high-availability mechanisms, including AlwaysOn.

• Work collaboratively on initiatives aimed at facilitating migration to the cloud.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a development or maintenance analyst with a relational DBMS.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL Server.

• Familiarity with SQL Server versions 2012, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022.

• Understanding of synchronous replication features (AlwaysOn) for SQL Server 2012 and later.

• Involvement in a project over the last 3 years that included migrating SQL Server databases to the cloud.

• Experience in managing databases within a cloud environment.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure is considered an advantage.

• Proficient in French, both spoken and written.
