This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

• Conduct research, design, implement, and document innovative data management tools and methodologies.

• Oversee management of extensive data sets from contemporary ground systems and applications.

• Facilitate data management processes, including data migration, backup, and recovery efforts.

• Generate reporting metrics for management and clients.

• Aid in troubleshooting various issues.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust data management practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise data management.

• Proficient in working with GIS data.

• Comprehensive understanding of data management processes and technologies.

• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Java, PowerShell, Ruby, etc.

• Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to perform under pressure.

• Must successfully complete a full background investigation and secure a security badge for access to the relevant government facility.

• Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with AWS services or AWS cloud certification(s) is advantageous.

• Experience in high-performance computing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence applications and frameworks within a cloud environment.

• Knowledge of environmental or scientific data processing.

• Understanding of contemporary agile software development principles, practices, methods, and tools.

• Familiarity with version control systems (preferably Git) and issue tracking software (preferably Jira).

• A BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Possession of industry certifications, such as AWS certifications, is a plus.
