Data Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Accountable for leading multi-skilled agile teams to create and implement modern data solutions.

• Balancing trade-offs effectively to achieve the successful delivery of complex solutions.

• Recognized as a subject matter expert in data technology solutions, providing strong technical guidance and thought leadership.

• Successfully executing both functional and non-functional design implementations.

• Collaborating closely with Operations and Infrastructure architects to produce robust, resilient, and maintainable data solutions.

• Advising, questioning, and guiding customers to ensure sound design decisions in solution development.

• Overseeing and estimating timelines that support solution delivery.

• Taking ownership of technical solution design as part of the pre-sales process.

• Managing, mentoring, and developing a small team, focusing on employee performance management and aiding in their career progression.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience leading multiple teams as a data solution architect, with responsibility for a system of systems.

• Expertise in designing, building, and deploying modern data-intensive applications, including orchestration and operational aspects.

• Comprehensive knowledge across the full range of data technologies (data ingestion, transformation, storage, presentation, consumption) and ability to integrate these into effective solutions.

• Experience in strategic design thinking, including problem conceptualization, approach and roadmap development, architecture realization, and risk management.

• Familiar with both traditional and modern data warehousing concepts.

• Experience deploying data-processing platforms from vendors such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and Databricks.

• Proficient in one or more of Java, Scala, or Python, with a readiness to engage in hands-on work when necessary.

• Demonstrated capability in managing, mentoring, and developing team members and the broader community.
