Data Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Designing the architecture of data products tailored for data analytics and data science.

• Pioneering data transformation by establishing best practices in areas such as data modeling, performance optimization, and data governance.

• Developing reusable technologies that empower teams to ingest, store, transform, and serve their own data products.

• Collaborating with data scientists and machine learning engineers to investigate the product landscape and refine data requirements.

• Committing to continuous learning and experimentation to remain updated on emerging technologies.

• Elevating data quality standards through ongoing assessments of data quality in partnership with stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in batch and distributed data processing as well as near real-time streaming data pipelines using technologies such as Kafka and Spark.

• Familiarity with Databricks is advantageous.

• Experience in implementing Big Data Analytics platforms with cloud-based solutions, preferably AWS.

• Skilled in Python programming and applying software engineering best practices.

• Expertise in RDBMS, data warehousing, and data modeling with relational SQL (Redshift, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.

• Proficient in DevOps, CI/CD pipeline management, and deploying infrastructure as Code (IaC) following industry best practices.

• Practical experience in data quality and data governance techniques.
