Data Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Assist with PCI DSS compliance initiatives to ensure that business applications align with security and regulatory standards.

• Oversee application onboarding processes to ensure effective integration into enterprise security and compliance frameworks.

• Conduct and aid in physical site inspections to verify adherence to security standards and controls.

• Maintain records of compliance and attestations to support audit preparedness and regulatory reporting obligations.

• Execute enterprise data discovery and monitoring activities to recognize and safeguard sensitive information across systems and applications.

• Evaluate security scan outcomes to confirm findings and aid in risk identification and remediation efforts.

• Classify and evaluate sensitive data assets to guarantee the implementation of suitable protection measures.

• Resolve security scan failures and operational challenges to uphold monitoring effectiveness and compliance coverage.

• Manage incidents, service requests, and escalation activities to ensure prompt resolution of security-related issues.

• Collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders to drive remediation initiatives and enhance security compliance results.

• Relay security findings, risks, and operational updates to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.

• Create and sustain scripts and automation solutions to boost operational efficiency and minimize manual effort.

• Identify opportunities for ongoing improvement to enhance security operations, compliance processes, and service delivery effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in supporting cybersecurity, data security, compliance, or information protection functions.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in administering or supporting Linux and Windows environments.

• At least 2 years of experience utilizing PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting technologies.

• Experience managing incidents, requests, and operational workflows within IT Service Management environments.

• Familiarity with security monitoring, vulnerability identification, or data discovery activities.

• Experience with database technologies such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

• Understanding of application architecture, web security concepts, and network security fundamentals.

• Knowledge of PCI DSS compliance principles and the implementation of security controls.

• Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional technical teams to drive remediation and operational enhancements.
