This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
β’ Collaborate with mission owners to frame analytical questions and transform them into testable designs.
β’ Construct analyses and models using Python and SQL on AWS cloud-native data platforms.
β’ Create forecasting, classification, risk-scoring, and anomaly-detection models.
β’ Design evaluations for models that include baselines, validation frameworks, error analysis, documented limits, and verifiable documentation.
β’ Generate analytical features and datasets from extensive, complex, document-heavy corpora.
β’ Utilize Amazon Textract for text extraction and analyze it with foundational models via Amazon Bedrock.
β’ Refine one-time notebooks into repeatable, reviewed analytical pipelines.
β’ Deliver findings to decision-makers using clear language and effective visualizations.
β’ Leverage AI-assisted analysis, language models, and coding aids throughout the project lifecycle.
β’ Work collaboratively with developers, engineers, data scientists, architects, and strategists on client assignments.
β’ Address federal-agency analytical inquiries from data to defensible, well-documented conclusions.
β’ A minimum of 4 years of practical experience in data science or statistical modeling.
β’ A Bachelor's degree is required.
β’ Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
β’ Knowledge of statistics, machine learning, and model validation is essential.
β’ Familiarity with cloud-based data and analytics services, specifically on AWS.
β’ Capability to lead an analysis from inquiry to defensible, documented outcomes.
β’ Proficient in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel.
β’ Initial engagement requires U.S. citizenship.
β’ Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination is necessary.
β’ Preferred: A Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
β’ Preferred: Experience with contemporary data tools and platforms, such as Amazon Aurora, Amazon S3 with Apache Iceberg, AWS Glue, or Trino.
β’ Preferred: Experience in applying large language models to analytical tasks, including Amazon Bedrock or similar services.
β’ Preferred: Skills in data visualization, covering everything from chart design to dashboards and charting libraries.
β’ Preferred: Experience in federal information technology.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tools.
