This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist senior team members in the development, testing, documentation, and refinement of predictive models for equipment readiness, lead-time estimation, and inventory planning.
• Clean, validate, organize, and explore structured and unstructured datasets.
• Support feature engineering and conduct routine data-quality checks.
• Learn and utilize Palantir Foundry and related tools for data pipelines, analyses, dashboards, and reusable analytics products.
• Execute approved experiments, evaluate model performance, document findings, and identify issues for senior technical staff.
• Create and update technical documentation, job aids, user guides, and training materials.
• Carry out routine updates, testing, version-control activities, and maintenance for existing analytics products.
• Engage in technical reviews, working sessions, and discussions with customers.
• Communicate project progress, inquiries, and risks to the project team.
• Contribute to JANSON’s initiatives to enhance Army logistics through predictive analytics, data science, and emerging artificial intelligence capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience; internships, academic research, capstone projects, laboratory work, teaching assistance, military experience, or other applied project work may be considered.
• Fundamental understanding of statistics, supervised learning, model evaluation, and typical predictive analytics workflows.
• Proficient in Python and SQL, including common libraries such as Pandas and Scikit-learn.
• Active Secret security clearance or eligibility and capability to obtain and maintain one.
• Ability to analyze defined problems, adhere to technical guidance, troubleshoot routine issues, and ask relevant questions.
• Capacity to clearly document work and articulate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with Palantir Foundry or another enterprise data, cloud, or analytics platform is preferred.
• Exposure to Army logistics concepts, GCSS-Army, FED LOG, or government data environments is preferred.
• Experience in creating dashboards, reports, or data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, Python libraries, or integrated platform tools is preferred.
• Academic, project, or practical exposure to Generative AI, large language models, or agent-based workflows is preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Python and SQL, with a willingness to learn additional tools, platforms, and methods.
• Ability to summarize data, methods, assumptions, and results effectively.
• Capability to follow established processes, maintain accurate documentation, and complete assigned tasks with appropriate review.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, accept feedback, and contribute to solutions that integrate human expertise with machine intelligence.
