Data Scientist, Pharmacy – Part D Stars

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Pharmacy leadership to identify business challenges, recommend analytical solutions, and translate findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.

• Transform analytical models and business rules into scalable, production-ready tools.

• Create dashboards and reporting systems that track the trajectories of Stars measures and assess the impact of interventions.

• Develop cut-point projection and simulation models that predict Star Rating outcomes under different performance scenarios and CMS methodologies.

• Establish prioritization rules, improvement measurement models, and next-best-action strategies.

• Evaluate the financial implications of pharmacy and Star performance to inform investment and intervention choices.

• Oversee projects from inception to completion, including problem definition, analysis, model development, validation, deployment support, and continuous monitoring.

• Work in conjunction with data and engineering teams to version, test, and deploy models utilizing Git, CI/CD pipelines, and virtual machine environments.

• Standardize definitions, documentation processes, and reporting workflows to enhance enterprise-wide AI readiness.

• Incorporate new data sources, methodologies, and emerging tools to elevate analytical capabilities.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in predictive modeling and data analysis.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Exceptional communication, analytical, and collaborative problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in developing data science solutions and applying machine learning techniques to real-world issues with quantifiable results.

• Knowledge of time-series analysis or forecasting methodologies.

• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.

• Proficient programming skills in Python, Java, R, Scala, or C++.

• Proven expertise in SQL and relational databases.

• Experience with data visualization and presentation techniques.

• Familiarity with setting up experimental analytics frameworks or strategies for complex scenarios.

• Understanding of statistical measures such as confidence intervals, significance of error measurements, and the development and evaluation of datasets.

• Experience in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensional, and unstructured data from diverse sources.

• Preferred: previous experience in healthcare, particularly in Stars or Part D analytics.

• Preferred: familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, or Cosmos.

• Preferred: experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.

• Preferred: strong comprehension of CMS Stars rating measures and methodologies.

• Preferred: published research in academic conferences or industry forums.

• Preferred: proven capability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and achieve results in an agile environment.
