Data Scientist Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of AI applications through code enhancement, algorithm exploration, and the creation of algorithms.

• Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams in AI, data engineering, product development, and marketing to design, prototype, and implement intelligent systems.

• Conduct discovery and research to improve application performance.

• Evaluate implementation decisions with respect to product or business-related factors.

• Develop unit tests for standalone modules and services.

• Contribute to codebases while adhering to version control best practices through GitHub.

• Document methodologies and codebases for knowledge sharing, overall understanding, and collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python with a good understanding of Object Oriented Programming.

• Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) including their application, typical constraints, and evaluation methods.

• Comprehension of context and memory management within LLMs and/or agentic workflows.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience utilizing GitHub for version control, issue tracking, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development processes.

• A genuine passion for gaming.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and agile environment.

• Practical experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and Neo4j.

• Familiarity with messaging services and protocols such as HTTP, MQTT, and AMQP.

• Knowledge of, or experience in, developing stateless systems.
