This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.
β’ Work remotely to support a government contract for a client based in Washington, DC.
β’ Collaborate on technical solutions and lead the implementation processes.
β’ Develop and engineer data workflows to integrate diverse data sources.
β’ Design and create automation for managing security tools.
β’ Utilize analytical rigor and statistical methods to examine large datasets.
β’ An active Secret security clearance is required.
β’ A Master's or PhD degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Economics is required, OR equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
β’ Over 5 years of experience in machine learning engineering, data science, data project engineering, or software development focused on data solutions.
β’ Proven experience in designing technical solutions and leading a team during the implementation of such designs.
β’ Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, including Python, JSON, C++, Java, R, or Scala.
β’ Familiarity with containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
β’ Experience in architecting and designing innovative analytic methods using machine learning techniques.
β’ Background in developing and supporting data-oriented tasks for cybersecurity solutions, which includes crafting machine learning algorithms, data models, or architectural strategies for cyber defense.
β’ Demonstrated experience in developing and engineering data workflows for merging disparate data sources and extracting data-driven insights.
β’ Proven skills in designing and developing automation for security tool management, including the creation of customized searches and applications.
β’ Experience with Cloud Service Provider (CSP) solutions and their resources, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
β’ Knowledge of Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tools and capabilities.
β’ Ability to utilize a range of data science capabilities and languages, identifying and resolving critical data issues through various methodologies while ensuring data integrity.
β’ Familiarity with host and network-based security technologies.
β’ Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND frameworks.
β’ Capability to apply analytical rigor and advanced statistical/machine learning methods to analyze large datasets.
β’ Ability to analyze structured and unstructured data to address multiple complex cybersecurity challenges using advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses.
β’ Skills to support high-visibility reporting on cybersecurity data through the development of data visualizations and/or dashboards.
β’ A Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) certification is mandatory.
