Data Scientist, Face Biometrics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Designing machine learning algorithms for facial authentication systems

• Investigating, prototyping, and assessing methods for presentation attack detection and fraud prevention

• Testing and fine-tuning facial recognition algorithms to achieve performance and accuracy benchmarks

• Expanding and leveraging current biometric code libraries

• Conducting thorough experiments, analyzing results, and converting insights into deployable models and strategies

• Assisting in the innovation and development of solutions addressing new challenges in facial biometrics

• Applying and continuously enhancing your knowledge in AI, machine learning, and computer vision

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in at least two of the areas outlined below.

• A proven history through project completions, research contributions, or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience:

• (1) Computer Vision & Deep Learning

• Solid foundation in computer vision and machine learning concepts

• Expertise with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow

• Comprehensive understanding of detection, recognition, and traditional computer vision pipelines

• Strong programming capabilities in Python and/or C++, including version control, testing, and debugging

• (2) Data & Experimental Methods

• Experience in handling, preprocessing, and analyzing large datasets

• Familiarity with synthetic data generation or weakly/lightly supervised learning techniques

• (3) Image Recognition & Matching

• Experience in authentication, identity matching, or metric learning

• Knowledge of feature extraction, alignment, and embedding-based systems

• (4) Liveness & Anti-Spoofing

• Familiarity with presentation attack detection, including replay, mask, or deepfake scenarios

• Interest or experience in adversarial robustness and anti-spoofing research

• Ability to review, interpret, and implement cutting-edge research

• Comfortable utilizing AI tools to enhance workflow and productivity

• Awareness of privacy, ethics, and security issues related to biometrics

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
