This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Lead the analytical efforts for the Discovery Mode ML team, focusing on the assessment and ongoing enhancement of the models that facilitate measurement and campaign optimization.
β’ Collaborate with ML engineers to create evaluation frameworks and pinpoint opportunities for improving model performance, dependability, and customer impact.
β’ Design and implement comprehensive experiments to assess model quality, analyze outcomes, and steer model development.
β’ Perform in-depth analyses to evaluate model performance and convert findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product and business stakeholders.
β’ Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards that monitor model health, customer metrics, and program effectiveness.
β’ Work together with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure analytical priorities align with squad objectives and customer requirements.
β’ Contribute to the wider Product Insights community by sharing best practices and helping elevate the standards for analytics within Discovery Mode.
β’ Minimum of 4 years of experience in a data science position, along with a degree in data science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
β’ Proven experience in measuring customer outcomes, defining KPIs, and linking analytical insights to product decisions.
β’ Skilled in designing and executing A/B tests, recognizing when experimentation is the appropriate approach, and interpreting results with the necessary rigor.
β’ Experience in assessing machine learning model performance and collaborating with ML engineers to enhance model and customer outcomes.
β’ Comfortable operating in a highly technical environment and working closely with engineering teams.
β’ Ability to communicate complex statistical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Strong foundation in data science, including proficiency in Python, SQL, BigQuery, dbt, data storytelling, and experience within cross-functional product teams.
β’ Familiarity with areas such as advertising measurement, recommendation systems, experimentation, or large-scale causal inference.
β’ Flexibility to work from the location that suits you best within the EST timezone region.
