Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.

📋 Description

• Develop causal inference and quasi-experimental methodologies for pricing strategies and conversion analysis across our product offerings.

• Create and fine-tune probability and conversion models that enhance optimization processes within our marketplace, distribution, and pricing systems.

• Construct elasticity and gain/loss models to facilitate bidding and pricing optimization strategies.

• Choose and validate statistical techniques that are most suited to the data and business challenges presented.

• Develop ranking and relevance models to improve sort order and personalization features within our flight and hotel search platforms.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement models into production, and work with analytics and product teams to transform business inquiries into measurable, testable hypotheses.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-8 years of experience in data science, applied statistics, or a similar discipline.

• Strong expertise in experimental and quasi-experimental design, probability calibration, and the evaluation of statistical models.

• Demonstrated success in delivering statistical analyses that have directly impacted business decisions.

• Experience in building production-level machine learning systems.

• Proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages.

• Practical experience with causal inference techniques, Bayesian modeling, and implementing experimental/quasi-experimental designs in production environments.

• Familiarity with constructing ranking or relevance models (e.g., learning-to-rank, personalization, search/recommendation ranking).

• Experience utilizing cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure) for data management, model development, and deployment.

• Comfortable collaborating with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) to expedite model development and analysis.

• High level of initiative and ability to navigate through uncertainty.
