Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with diverse ERP and IoT data sources to create engaging and interactive Power BI dashboards for effective data storytelling and facilitating stakeholder decision-making.

• Design and implement machine learning models and predictive analytics solutions utilizing data obtained from Snowflake.

• Conduct data exploration, statistical analysis, and feature engineering to support AI projects.

• Partner with data engineering teams to guarantee the establishment of robust data pipelines.

• Contribute to the creation of AI-driven tools and frameworks within the organization.

• Assess model performance and retrain as necessary to adapt to changing data conditions.

• Engage in cross-functional projects that involve manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering.

• Revise training materials and documentation as needed.

• Provide user training to operational teams when required.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of post-secondary education in a Business or STEM discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

• Any combination of training and/or certifications in Data Science, Statistics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Over 2 years of experience in a data science, AI, or advanced analytics position.

• Strong expertise in SQL (preferably within Snowflake), Python, and Power BI.

• Comprehensive understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and AI workflows.

• Experience in developing end-to-end models and incorporating them into business operations.

• Extensive knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud-based data platforms (preferably Snowflake and Fabric).
