Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop, assess, and deploy models for matching, recommendations, and rankings that directly influence the job seeker experience.

• Engage with skills, occupations, and career taxonomies alongside labor market data, enhancing our representation and understanding of the work landscape.

• Partner with Engineering to reliably transition models into production and continuously monitor and refine them post-launch.

• Convert complex, real-world data into actionable insights and recommendations for both the team and our clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in applied data science (approximately 4+ years), with a proven history of delivering models that have been integrated into real products.

• Experience with jobs-and-skills or workforce data, or related datasets where there is a clear application to workforce challenges (this is a non-negotiable requirement for the position).

• Proficient in Python and SQL, with a solid foundation in machine learning, NLP, and recommendation/matching methodologies.

• Ability to navigate large, imperfect datasets while exercising sound judgment in data interpretation.

• Excellent communication skills: able to articulate model concepts and trade-offs to a non-technical audience.
