This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Provide support to U.S. Customs and Border Protection in the Washington DC area.
• Utilize specialized knowledge in statistical analysis, intricate data mining, and artificial intelligence to derive value from data.
• Offer consulting services focused on data mining and the analysis of diverse data sources, transforming raw data into clear and actionable insights.
• Create and execute data-driven solutions, emphasizing advanced analytical techniques, data models, and visualizations.
• Construct quantitative simulations and models to deliver descriptive and predictive analytics solution recommendations.
• Detect trends and issues through comprehensive big data analysis.
• Stay updated on emerging tools and techniques in machine learning, statistical modeling, and analytics.
• A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in applied research, big data analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, operations research, or a closely related quantitative or mathematical discipline.
• At least three (3) years of hands-on experience in machine learning.
• An advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, or another closely related quantitative or mathematical discipline.
• Proven knowledge of data mining methodologies, databases, data visualization, and machine learning.
• Strong ability to communicate analysis techniques, concepts, and products effectively.
• Proficient in developing data-driven solutions, data models, and visualizations.
