📋 Description

• Analyze Gremlin’s exclusive dataset comprising millions of chaos engineering experiments to uncover failure patterns, root causes, and resilience indicators within complex distributed systems.

• Pretrain and fine-tune machine learning models that autonomously detect, classify, and elucidate failures encountered during chaos experiments.

• Develop intelligent systems that provide automated remediation recommendations and, ultimately, orchestration by learning from historical experiment outcomes and system behaviors.

• Create scalable data pipelines and feature stores to process, enhance, and serve vast amounts of experiment data for both model training and real-time inference.

• Collaborate effectively with platform engineers and SREs to embed AI-driven failure analysis and remediation features directly into Gremlin’s core product.

• Employ advanced methodologies, including causal inference, graph ML, time-series modeling, and reinforcement learning, to consistently enhance the accuracy and actionability of automated failure analysis.

• Convert insights from millions of chaos experiments into AI-driven features that assist customers in automatically understanding blast radius, identifying root causes, and expediting recovery.

• Investigate and implement innovative ML techniques, such as causal AI and agentic systems, that transform raw chaos experiment data into automated and reliable remediation strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in building and deploying machine learning solutions.

• Practical experience with techniques like causal inference, graph ML, time-series modeling, or reinforcement learning.

• Proven experience in developing data pipelines and feature stores that facilitate both offline training and real-time inference.

• Familiarity with agile development environments and methodologies.

• Strong proponent of rigorous experimentation, model evaluation, and engineering best practices.

• Comfortable collaborating with platform engineers and SREs to translate research into deployed product features.

• Proficient in breaking down ambiguous challenges into actionable steps and milestones.
