Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement data science solutions utilizing machine learning, artificial intelligence, and statistical and quantitative modeling for predictive and prescriptive analytics.

• Utilize statistical, mathematical, and business analysis skills to interpret complex data from diverse sources.

• Develop visualizations and dashboards that showcase data-driven insights and predictive outcomes.

• Conduct data extraction and cleansing, feature engineering, machine learning, exploratory analysis, data quality assessment, and experimental analysis.

• Collaborate with teams to create and implement Data Products that provide value to members or the business.

• Manage enterprise-wide, operational, and specialized data science and analytics initiatives.

• Update stakeholders on project progress, milestones, and schedule adherence.

• Facilitate data discovery sessions and document requirements as part of the project scope.

• Gather requirements through interviews, document reviews, sessions, data descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and data analysis.

• Test hypotheses, uncover growth opportunities, and drive process improvements through analyses, experimentation, and scientific methodologies.

• Create quality assurance test plans and oversee quality assurance testing processes.

• Adhere to data science best practices, documentation standards, policies, procedures, and BT regulations.

• Prepare and present reports, recommendations, or alternatives to address organizational challenges.

• Work alongside data engineers, analysts, and team members on data-centric initiatives.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to data analysts.

• Foster collaborative strategic partnerships across business units and IT.

• Enhance departmental efficiency and decrease costs by optimizing operations.

• Ensure compliance with relevant Federal Regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in data science, applied mathematics, statistics, or machine learning is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a data scientist capacity is essential.

• At least 1 year of experience in data science roles or equivalent experience interacting with stakeholders is required.

• Proficiency in applying statistical modeling and machine learning (ML/AI) algorithms for both supervised and unsupervised learning, as well as natural-language processing (NLP) to address business challenges is essential.

• Expertise in SnowFlake, Python, R, SQL, and foundational machine learning techniques is required.

• Competence in utilizing data visualization tools is necessary.

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to distill complex data science project recommendations into actionable plans.

• Capability to analyze data efficiently and produce actionable outcomes quickly.

• Ability to convey intricate analysis and insights to a non-technical audience effectively.

• Commitment to complying with Federal Regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
