This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• We are looking for a Specialist Data Scientist with a solid background in applied statistics and experimental methods. Your role will involve performing in-depth exploratory analyses, designing robust experiments such as A/B tests, quasi-experiments, and counterfactual analyses, while supporting data-driven strategic decisions.
• As a member of the team, you will take charge of designing experiments, developing Machine Learning and AI models, validating business hypotheses, and transforming intricate data into straightforward, actionable insights.
• Your focus will be on areas like customer retention (churn) and maximizing value from the customer base, aiding in strategic and product decision-making. A leadership mindset is anticipated, contributing not just in technical execution but also in shaping analytical methodologies and enhancing the usage of data throughout the organization.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate multivariate A/B tests, quasi-experiments, and counterfactual analyses, ensuring both statistical validity and practical significance;
• Carry out comprehensive exploratory analyses to identify patterns, trends, and optimization possibilities;
• Lead projects in statistical modeling and causal inference, converting findings into business directives;
• Act as the technical resource for statistics and experimentation within the team;
• Suggest and establish frameworks for experiment monitoring and impact metrics;
• Work collaboratively with business, product, and operations teams to formulate hypotheses and design tests together;
• Guarantee clear documentation and effective communication of results for non-technical stakeholders;
• Create machine learning models aimed at generating value for both the company and our customers.
• Strong experience in applied statistics, experimentation, and data analysis;
• Proficient in A/B testing, quasi-experiments, multivariate experiments, and causal inference methodologies;
• Advanced understanding of statistical models, Machine Learning, and Bayesian analysis;
• Expertise in Python and SQL;
• Capability to convert complex statistical concepts into practical business insights;
• Experience with large datasets and analytical tools;
• Over 5 years of demonstrated experience in data science, applied statistics, or related fields;
• Familiarity with developing models on AWS;
• Background in customer retention (churn) initiatives;
• Experience with LLMs, multimodal models, and AI agents;
• Relevant certifications in applied statistics, causal inference, or digital experimentation;
• Active involvement in statistics, data science, and applied research communities.
