Data Science Internship

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to uncover new AI opportunities and develop innovative AI applications.

• Lead the development of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) utilizing a test-and-learn methodology with cross-functional teams.

• Progress from problem identification to prototyping and deploying production-quality solutions.

• Provide reliable and scalable AI functionalities in a production environment.

• Create prototypes and construct data pipelines for deployment purposes.

• Experiment with generative Large Language Models (LLMs) to develop and improve generative applications using prompts and user feedback.

• Effectively communicate efforts and outcomes to both technical and business stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in Computational Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.

• Prior experience in a professional setting, including internship experience, is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of the latest advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI technologies.

• Proactive about keeping up-to-date with emerging AI trends and new releases of LLMs.

• Capable of diagnosing and addressing complex, ambiguous problems with a product-oriented approach.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex analyses in a clear and actionable manner.

• Results-driven, innovative thinker who takes initiative and provides practical solutions.

• Dedicated to inclusivity and valuing diverse perspectives.

• Proven experience in implementing and fine-tuning generative AI LLMs, with strong knowledge of NLP techniques including embeddings, GPT, and Transformer models.

• Familiarity with cloud computing and deploying AI solutions on AWS or Google Cloud.

• Strong foundation in deep learning, machine learning, statistics, and optimization gained through coursework or practical experience.

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python and C++/Java through academic or professional experience.

• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
