Data & Reporting Analyst – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance of current Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.

• Identify and resolve issues such as failed refreshes, broken visuals, DAX errors, gateway problems, and changes in upstream schemas.

• Write and optimize SQL queries for our SQL Server warehouse to obtain new datasets.

• Create new reports and modify existing ones as requested by Finance and Operations.

• Update the data model when there are changes to source tables: add new tables, adjust relationships, and document modifications.

• Monitor scheduled refreshes and address recurring issues with a focus on root-cause solutions rather than temporary fixes.

• Working model: Async-first with a weekly 30-minute check-in with the Director of Finance.

• New requests are managed via a ticket-based system; SLA targets are established in advance (e.g., critical issues addressed the same business day; new reports completed within 5–10 business days based on scope).

• Provide a monthly summary detailing completed work, hours utilized, and backlog status.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in building and maintaining production Power BI in business environments.

• Proficient in SQL on SQL Server, including joins, CTEs, window functions, and performance tuning.

• Fluent in DAX and Power Query (M).

• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling principles.

• Self-motivated; capable of diagnosing issues, making decisions, and delivering solutions independently.

• Excellent written communication skills; able to document changes and their rationale clearly.

• Prior experience in fractional roles or consulting with mid-market companies is a plus.

• Familiarity with manufacturing, CPG, or nutraceuticals is advantageous.

• Knowledge of ERP data systems (NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics, Sage, etc.) is beneficial.

• Experience with Power BI service administration, including workspaces, gateways, and deployment pipelines.
