Business Insights Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Conduct data analysis, construct models, validate hypotheses, identify root causes, create prototypes, predict performance, generate Power BI reports, and write SQL scripts.

• Derive insights from these data-related activities to guide business decisions.

• Utilize descriptive (what occurred) and diagnostic (why it occurred) analytics to formulate specific, actionable recommendations for business leaders.

• Establish metrics that are independent, comprehensive, precise, promote the desired behaviors, and align with the company's strategy and objectives.

• Oversee relationships and manage small projects with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Align business processes with their respective data flows.

• Proactively identify and highlight opportunities to enhance efficiency for Operations and internally as well.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in data science, data analysis, analytics, business intelligence, or reporting.

• Highly skilled in SQL; familiarity with R and Python is advantageous.

• More than 2 years of experience with Power BI.

• Proven experience in exploratory data analysis, prototyping, hypothesis testing, root cause analysis, modeling business processes, building forecasts, creating predictive models, defining metrics, and measuring business performance.

• Demonstrated ability to connect data and analytics to business strategy and operations to achieve meaningful results.

• Solid understanding of probability and statistics.

• Experience in process improvement is a plus.

• A collaborative team player who fosters strong relationships and builds trust with business leaders, engineers, and colleagues.
