Data Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Ensure the quality, reliability, and consistency of data across contemporary data platforms.

• Validate data pipelines and establish automated quality checks.

• Collaborate effectively with Data Engineering and business teams.

• Design and implement a comprehensive data quality framework.

• Build and sustain automated data quality checks within Databricks pipelines.

• Take ownership of reconciliation between source systems and Databricks layers.

• Validate identity resolution results in the Silver layer.

• Conduct end-to-end pipeline testing.

• Partner with Data Engineers to establish acceptance criteria.

• Assist UAT with client business stakeholders.

• Document QA processes, test outcomes, and observations.

• Monitor pipeline performance post-deployment and address incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with Azure-based data platforms, particularly Databricks.

• In-depth knowledge of data quality frameworks and testing methodologies for data pipelines.

• Experience in validating ETL/ELT processes and working with layered architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold).

• Proficient SQL skills with experience in analyzing large datasets.

• Experience in implementing automated data validation and reconciliation processes.

• Familiarity with data pipeline monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Ability to work collaboratively with Data Engineers and business stakeholders.

• Strong analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience documenting QA processes and results in a systematic manner.

• Proficient in English (advanced level required for effective communication with global teams).
