Data Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Ensure the quality, reliability, and consistency of data across advanced data platforms.

• Validate data pipelines while implementing automated quality assurance checks.

• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering teams and business stakeholders.

• Design and establish a data quality framework spanning Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.

• Develop and oversee automated data quality checks within Databricks pipelines.

• Manage reconciliation between source systems and Databricks layers.

• Validate identity resolution outputs within the Silver layer.

• Conduct end-to-end pipeline testing to guarantee accurate data flows.

• Team up with Data Engineers to define acceptance criteria.

• Provide support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with client business stakeholders.

• Document all quality assurance processes and findings comprehensively.

• Monitor the health of pipelines post-deployment and address data quality incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with Azure-based data platforms, specifically Databricks.

• In-depth understanding of data quality frameworks and testing methodologies for data pipelines.

• Experience in validating ETL/ELT processes and working with layered architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold).

• Strong SQL proficiency and capability in analyzing large datasets.

• Experience in implementing automated data validation and reconciliation processes.

• Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting data pipelines.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with Data Engineers and business stakeholders.

• Excellent analytical thinking skills and keen attention to detail.

• Experience in documenting QA processes and results in an organized manner.

• Proficiency in English at an advanced level (essential for effective communication with global teams).
