Data QA Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Ensure data accuracy and readiness for production by collaborating closely with the Data Engineering Manager and Analytics Engineering Lead across 18 data domains.

• Create and implement a reconciliation framework to systematically compare outputs from legacy pipelines with those from new pipelines, pinpointing discrepancies and gaps.

• Conduct structured acceptance testing for each pipeline before they are promoted to production environments.

• Assess identity resolution accuracy through thorough analysis of match rates, false positives, and false negatives.

• Document complete data lineage across all 18 domains to enhance auditability, transparency, and adherence to regulatory standards.

• Develop and maintain automated regression test suites to facilitate continuous quality assurance as the pipelines evolve.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL, with a proven ability to construct complex queries for data validation, profiling, and reconciliation on a large scale.

• Familiarity with data quality frameworks, with preference for candidates who possess direct experience with Great Expectations.

• Skilled in Python for scripting automated tests, performing data profiling tasks, and executing quality checks.

• Strong foundation in data profiling techniques, such as distribution analysis, completeness checks, and anomaly detection.

• Experience in designing and implementing test automation strategies within data or analytics engineering environments.

• Capable of effectively documenting findings and communicating data quality issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Over 3 years of experience in Data Quality, QA, or Data Analysis roles, with a demonstrated ability to build reconciliation frameworks and perform end-to-end acceptance testing on complex data pipelines.

• English proficiency at an advanced level (required for effective communication with global teams).
