Data Protection Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Denmark, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Offer practical legal guidance on data protection and privacy, including GDPR and local regulations across various markets.

• Provide counsel on privacy requirements throughout the lifecycle of patient and consumer programs in multiple countries.

• Prepare and evaluate privacy notices, consent language, and data processing agreements.

• Advise on consent and preference management during the data lifecycle.

• Create appropriate privacy policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.

• Collaborate with local experts and stakeholders to ensure a unified global approach.

• Keep track of regulatory changes.

• Provide advice on cross-border data processing and international data transfers.

• Contribute to the priorities of the Global Privacy & Compliance Team, including training and awareness initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A law degree.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, including significant work in privacy and data protection.

• Strong understanding of GDPR and associated European privacy regulations.

• Experience in advising on privacy and data protection issues involving direct interaction with patients, consumers, or customers.

• Exceptional communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders across various functions and markets.

• Full professional proficiency in English.

• Practical, self-driven, and independent working style, with the capability to create structure and progress in a dynamic environment.

• Experience in medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or another regulated sector is advantageous.

• Experience supporting patient engagement, marketing, CRM, consent management, or other direct-to-consumer initiatives, preferably across different countries, is a plus.

• Experience implementing privacy by design in digital products or platforms; familiarity with website tracking technologies, Salesforce, advertising platforms, or marketing technology is beneficial.
