Data Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and streamline the report and capability inventory, determining which legacy reports to retain, modify, rebuild, or discontinue.

• Manage and prioritize the delivery backlog across various workstreams, including replication, curated-layer, semantic-model, and reporting-enablement.

• Establish and confirm acceptance criteria in collaboration with client Finance and business stakeholders.

• Facilitate design validation by collecting baseline requirements for reports and tables, clarifying ambiguities, and finalizing the scope.

• Ensure that backlog and requirement decisions are aligned with deadlines to keep delivery schedules on track.

• Collaborate with the Architect, Security & Privacy Governance Lead, and data development leaders.

• Monitor and communicate progress on design validation, build, and cutover readiness to client stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a product manager, product owner, or business analyst in data/BI/reporting programs, managing a backlog from start to finish.

• Proven experience in rationalizing a substantial legacy report inventory into a governed, business-defined reporting product.

• Proficient in working directly with Finance or other business-domain stakeholders to establish acceptance criteria and resolve requirement ambiguities.

• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills; capable of driving decisions to meet deadlines within a fixed-scope delivery framework.

• Practical understanding of data platform concepts (source-to-curated data flow, semantic layers, BI tools) sufficient to convert business needs into a development backlog.

• Proficient in English (C1 level).

• Experience in financial/GL reporting domains (preferred).

• Background in mortgage, lending, or financial services reporting (preferred).

• Familiarity with Power BI or another enterprise BI semantic layer from a product/requirements perspective (preferred).
