Junior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility as the primary owner for the daily health and performance of TM Forum’s API tooling ecosystem.

• Serve as the gatekeeper and design authority to ensure quality, compliance with standards, and alignment with architectural guidelines.

• Facilitate and support contributions from members by reviewing, mentoring, and integrating community tooling updates.

• Oversee the tools that support our API build release and publication processes.

• Drive the roadmap for the next generation of API tooling, which includes AI-assisted API production.

• Ensure stable, secure, and transparent operations with clear visibility of changes and traceability of outputs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with OpenAPI 3.x, JSON Schema, AsyncAPI, API design, and contract-first development methodologies.

• Strong grasp of CI/CD workflows, automation pipelines, and tooling ecosystems.

• Knowledge of GitHub, schema repositories, build systems, and API lifecycle automation.

• Proficient in debugging and supporting CTK pipelines, certification logic, and schema modifications.

• Experience in maintaining open-source projects or participating in community-driven technical governance.

• Competence in coordinating contributions from multiple vendors in a neutral and organized manner.

• Excellent skills in review, moderation, and facilitation.

• Capability to collaborate closely with API architects, Product Owners, Project Managers, members, external partners, and DevOps teams to resolve delivery impediments.

• Proficient in identifying gaps, risks, and dependencies within the API Factory and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
