This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Conduct queries and analyze data concerning quality measures, providing precise findings to departments and Executive Leadership.
• Design, execute, and sustain data extracts from enterprise data repositories for both internal and external clients.
• Aid in the implementation, enhancement, and continual support of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
• Generate analytics, visualizations, reports, and presentations that facilitate actionable insights.
• Produce ad-hoc reports and deliver analytical support while collecting user requirements and confirming user acceptance.
• Automate business workflows, including on-demand reports and interactive dashboards.
• Examine monthly and quarterly performance measure reporting.
• Develop and implement ETL solutions, which includes SQL programming.
• Design and code systems, programs, and interfaces using structured programming methodologies and suitable programming languages.
• Supervise and mentor junior analysts.
• Monitor and resolve processing issues.
• Analyze files and map data across systems.
• Create programs, time estimates, and project timelines based on business needs.
• Communicate work progress to stakeholders and management.
• Engage in corporate quality and data governance initiatives.
• Stay updated on technological advancements and perform other assigned responsibilities.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in computer programming (SQL), query design, data management technologies, and databases (Level 1).
• At least 2 years of experience in computer programming (SQL), query design, data management technologies, and databases (Level 2).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in computer programming (SQL), query design, data management technologies, and databases (Level 3).
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Statistics, Applied Math, Data Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
• Intermediate proficiency in office equipment, PC skills, and software for spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft SQL databases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Capability to conduct systems research and analysis, along with writing and presenting technical documentation.
• Understanding of business requirements development and user acceptance testing.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
• Skilled in facilitating and addressing customer requests and inquiries for all management levels.
• Ability to adhere to BCBSAZ corporate and departmental policies and procedures, including HIPAA, compliance, accreditation, attendance, staff qualifications, and quality management standards.
