Business Analyst – Scrum, Azure DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Assist in the execution of a web solution project as part of an agile Scrum team.

• Gather requirements and oversee user stories from initial discussions with stakeholders to refined, sprint-ready stories in Azure DevOps.

• Serve as the liaison between the client's Product Manager, business stakeholders, and the delivery team.

• Ensure that the solutions delivered align with business requirements.

• Draft user stories and acceptance criteria for the development and QA teams.

• Lead backlog refinement sessions and maintain a backlog that is ready for sprints.

• Elicit, challenge, and confirm requirements in collaboration with the Product Manager and business stakeholders.

• Engage with client-side stakeholders, manage their expectations, and translate business needs into technical specifications.

• Collaborate with a diverse set of teams including development, QA, UX, and product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst within a Scrum/Agile delivery setting.

• Proven history of involvement in web solution projects, with a comprehensive understanding of digital product delivery from requirements gathering to release.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, for effective stakeholder communication and documentation.

• Practical experience utilizing Azure DevOps for capturing, managing, and refining user stories.

• Capability to write concise and well-structured user stories along with acceptance criteria.

• Experience in facilitating backlog refinement sessions and ensuring the backlog is ready for upcoming sprints.

• Ability to work closely with a Product Manager and business stakeholders to elicit, challenge, and validate requirements.

• Comfortable with direct engagement with client-side stakeholders.

• Experience in cross-functional delivery teams that include development, QA, UX, and product roles.

• Background in retail or e-commerce.

• Familiarity with UX/UI principles.

• Experience with Confluence or similar documentation tools.

• Exposure to release management or UAT coordination within a web delivery framework.

• Understanding of Jira or other agile backlog management tools alongside Azure DevOps.
