Cyber Intelligence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• The Cyber Intelligence Analyst is involved in the detection, tracking, monitoring, containment, and mitigation of information security threats.

• This role entails analyzing endpoint and network data by utilizing established processes and tools to identify, analyze, contain, and remediate threats.

• This position is accountable for documenting security events and their resolutions.

• The Cyber Intelligence Analyst engages with and educates clients and asset owners to ensure their understanding of processes and procedures, intricate security topics and protocols, as well as risk resolution methodologies.

• The Cyber Intelligence Analyst will be expected to provide support on a rotating schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst or in relevant Cyber Security incident response and handling roles.

• Proficiency in Malware Reverse Engineering and Sandboxing.

• Familiarity with SIEM Technology.

• Extensive experience with Linux, TCP/IP, UNIX, MS-Windows, IP Routing, Firewalls, and IPS.

• Understanding of behavioral-based threat models, including ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model, etc.

• In-depth knowledge of advanced cyber threats targeting enterprises, as well as the tools, tactics, and procedures employed by these threats.

• Proven experience in utilizing Open Source malware analysis tools (such as OllyDbg, Radare, GDB, etc.).

• Capability to analyze shellcode, packed and obfuscated code, and their related algorithms.

• Ability to create network and host-based signatures to identify specific malware and recommend heuristic or anomaly-based detection methods.

• Subject matter expertise in detecting, analyzing, and mitigating malware.

• Experience in Information Security Research, Malware Reverse Engineering, Cyber Threat Analysis, Windows Operating System, and Data Analysis.

• Knowledge of Research skills, Technical Writing, Information Security Research, Security Incident Response, and Security Risk Assessment/Analysis.

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent college education is preferred.

• Certifications focused on incident response, such as GIAC GSEC (401), GCIH (504), GMON (511), or equivalent knowledge level, are preferred.

• Public cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are preferred.
