Data Integration Lead – VP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the enterprise data integration architecture and roadmap.

• Oversee strategic integration initiatives within Google Cloud Platform, enterprise services, and critical business applications.

• Design scalable integration patterns that encompass batch, real-time, event-driven, API-led, and CDC-based architectures.

• Propel the modernization of legacy ETL platforms towards cloud-native solutions.

• Set architecture standards, develop reusable frameworks, and establish best practices for data movement and integration.

• Provide technical leadership, governance, and design assurance for large-scale transformation programs.

• Mentor engineering teams and foster excellence in DevOps, CI/CD, automation, observability, and platform modernization.

• Influence architectural decisions while maintaining close alignment with engineering delivery and implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Data Integration, Data Engineering, ETL, or Integration Architecture.

• Strong experience in cloud architecture, particularly in GCP environments.

• Expertise in streaming data platforms and event-driven architectures.

• Experience operating within complex hybrid-cloud ecosystems.

• Proven track record of providing technical leadership and making architectural decisions.

• Experience in Banking, Asset Management, or other regulated financial services environments is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes.

• Experience with Kafka and event-streaming technologies.

• Knowledge of StreamSets, Informatica, IICS, uFlow, and orchestration platforms.

• Proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices.

• Understanding of API-led integration, microservices, real-time processing, and CDC architectures.
