Data Governance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the enterprise data governance roadmap, in alignment with organizational and technological strategies.

• Promote the adoption of governance standards across both business and clinical domains, ensuring compliance and accountability on an enterprise level.

• Act as the primary executive leader for data governance, delivering updates, metrics, and risk visibility to senior leadership.

• Guarantee that data is accurate, reliable, and maintained to the highest standards throughout its lifecycle.

• Resolve conflicting data sources and consolidate them into a single source of truth to enhance data trust and precision.

• Lead and mentor the data management team, facilitating communication across various committees and engaging with data consumers to foster a community that supports governance practices and policies.

• Conduct data analytics to analyze and interpret raw data, addressing inquiries and identifying trends to improve customer relations and organizational efficiency.

• Undertake data engineering tasks as needed to support or enhance the efforts of the data engineering team.

• Serve as the organization's expert in data security and compliance, ensuring that data practices align with internal policies and external regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required, ideally in Information Science, Data Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree in the aforementioned disciplines.

• Over 5 years of experience in ETL, data engineering, and data architecture.

• More than 5 years of SQL experience with enterprise data (SQL Server, Oracle, DataBricks, SnowFlake).

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience utilizing a collaboration platform such as Team Foundation Server (TFS), DevOps, Jira, or a similar tool is strongly preferred.
