Data Governance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Ensure the reliability and adherence to compliance of essential data systems.

• Carry out data requests and address data-related inquiries as needed.

• Offer epidemiologic and analytical support to create surveillance data products.

• Collaborate with staff to conduct evaluations of systems.

• Review and assess data governance policies and procedures.

• Perform feasibility studies and enhance data quality assessments.

• Partner with the Data Governance Lead to implement data standards, policies, and procedures.

• Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, coding libraries, data flow diagrams, and more.

• Educate and train employees on data management and governance practices.

• Undertake additional tasks as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in public health or an equivalent graduate degree in a health-related discipline.

• A minimum of one year of experience in data management utilizing a data governance framework to ensure data reliability and integrity.

• At least one year of experience in identifying, assessing, and resolving data quality issues.

• Proven experience in upholding and communicating data ethics and compliance.

• Background in designing data systems and platforms that support data governance objectives and principles.

• At least two years of experience using data programming and data visualization software, including R, SAS, SQL, Python, Qlik, Tableau, and Power BI.

• A minimum of two years of experience in data collection, analysis techniques, and data management and processing.

• Knowledgeable about data privacy and security measures.

• At least two years of experience in data extraction, manipulation, and transformation.

• A minimum of two years of experience in the last five years using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
