This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.
• Assist in the execution of enterprise Data Governance initiatives and governance processes.
• Develop and maintain governance documentation, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct data analysis and data profiling to uncover quality issues and opportunities for enhancement.
• Aid in metadata management, including the documentation and maintenance of business and technical metadata.
• Leverage AI-driven data governance tools to automate data classification and tagging, identify sensitive or non-compliant data, and facilitate governance workflows.
• Oversee data assets to ensure adherence to governance policies and suggest corrective measures as necessary.
• Assist in the implementation and validation of AI-supported data retention, archival, and lifecycle management policies.
• Validate data governance controls and ensure compliance with governance policies and regulatory standards.
• Document business definitions, data rules, and governance requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Promote data stewardship and enhance data quality across critical data domains.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into governance documentation.
• Monitor governance activities and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
• Communicate governance updates, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
• Around 3+ years of professional experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Business/Data Analysis, or similar fields.
• Familiarity with data governance platforms such as Atlan, Collibra, Alation, or other similar governance workflow and metadata management tools.
• Understanding of Data Governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Experience in performing data analysis and data profiling.
• Knowledge of metadata management concepts.
• Proven experience in documenting business rules, data definitions, and functional requirements.
• Strong skills in requirements gathering and analysis.
• SQL proficiency is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with both business and technical teams.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is preferred.
