Data Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Define and execute the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities for a team consisting of 3 to 6 engineers.

• Assume responsibility for architectural decisions, overseeing implementation while guaranteeing maintainability, reliability, scalability, and security.

• Assist the development team in delivering high-impact initiatives within established timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Robust hands-on experience with over 5 years in data engineering (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark, or similar distributed processing frameworks).

• At least 2 years in a leadership position, managing engineering teams, overseeing development processes, and influencing technical decisions.

• Experience in designing and operating dependable data pipelines in production (both batch and ideally streaming/event-driven systems) and making data modeling choices.

• Excellent communication skills, with the capability to effectively engage with non-technical stakeholders and external business partners.

• Demonstrated ability to lead projects from inception to successful completion, gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable technical tasks.
