This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Design, develop, and sustain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for processing substantial volumes of data from various sources.
• Create and enhance data storage solutions — including data lakes and data warehouses — for effective retrieval and processing.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data from both internal and external systems into a cohesive view for analysis.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data through validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding data processes, tools, and systems.
• Develop and manage Tableau dashboards and reports that convert complex datasets into clear, actionable visuals.
• Design data models and extracts that are optimized for Tableau performance, incorporating live connections and published data sources.
• Implement data visualization best practices — including chart selection, layout, color, and interactivity — to deliver client-ready outputs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend reporting needs and translate them into visual solutions.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis utilizing Tableau, Python-based charting tools (such as matplotlib, seaborn, and plotly), or similar resources.
• Facilitate AI/ML workflows by constructing and maintaining data pipelines that support model training, inference, and evaluation.
• Aid in data preparation for LLM and machine learning initiatives, encompassing feature engineering, tokenization pipelines, and vector store integration.
• Support teams in adopting AI-assisted data tools — including copilots, intelligent search, and automated reporting — by ensuring that clean, well-structured data is available upstream.
• Contribute to the development of prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks where data context is a crucial input.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Provide technical insights during requirements sessions to ensure alignment of data capabilities with business needs.
• Engage in sprint planning, stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
• Deliver solutions promptly and within scope, adapting as priorities change.
• Develop unit and integration tests to validate the reliability of pipelines and the accuracy of data.
• Identify and address defects, performance bottlenecks, and data quality issues.
• Stay updated on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and the latest data engineering tools.
• Suggest solutions to enhance performance, security, and scalability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Practical experience with Tableau, including dashboard development, data source management, and performance optimization.
• Understanding of data warehousing and lakehouse principles; experience with Databricks, Spark, PySpark, and pandas.
• Experience in building or supporting ML/AI data pipelines, including feature stores, vector databases, or model serving infrastructure.
• Familiarity with at least one cloud data stack (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Working knowledge of the ELK stack, Redis, and distributed task queues.
• Proficiency in Python libraries such as Flask, scikit-learn, requests, pytest, and logging utilities.
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment and writing shell scripts.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Strong communication skills and the capability to work effectively across both technical and non-technical teams.
