This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Create and manage data architecture for enterprise applications, ensuring effective data flow within applications and through interconnected systems.
• Work alongside system architects and software engineering teams to establish data models, interfaces, and integration strategies that accommodate changing mission requirements.
• Assess proposed architectural modifications to pinpoint chances for enhanced data sharing, reuse, and interoperability throughout the enterprise.
• Construct logical and physical data architectures that facilitate scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
• Analyze the methods by which data is collected, processed, stored, and exchanged to guarantee optimal performance and long-term viability.
• Establish best practices for application-to-application communication, including REST-based APIs and various integration methods.
• Offer technical direction on managing structured and unstructured data, including relational and NoSQL data storage solutions.
• Create prototypes or proof-of-concept solutions as needed to validate architectural methodologies.
• Engage in technical design reviews and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that architectural choices align with program goals.
• Assist in enterprise modernization initiatives by identifying ways to enhance data accessibility, consistency, and governance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4–6 years of experience in designing or implementing data architectures, enterprise integrations, or distributed software systems.
• Proficient in relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL database technologies.
• Knowledge of structured and unstructured data storage solutions.
• Experience in designing or working with RESTful APIs and application integration patterns.
• Capability to develop prototype applications or proof-of-concept solutions using one or more modern programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, or Go.
• Background in collaborating with software developers, architects, and technical stakeholders throughout the system development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to assess complex data flow scenarios.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
