Data Engineer – Cloud, Artificial Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and delivery.

• Integrate data from various sources including databases, files, APIs, and external platforms.

• Facilitate the advancement of data architectures and applications within cloud environments.

• Create solutions utilizing Python, SQL, and data processing tools.

• Develop and manage Data Lake, Data Warehouse, or similar architectures.

• Execute quality controls, monitoring, failure management, and data traceability.

• Aid in the development and maintenance of APIs, microservices, and containerized applications.

• Contribute towards the establishment and upkeep of CI/CD processes, version control, and deployment automation.

• Engage in incident analysis, root cause investigations, and the implementation of improvements.

• Document architectures, integrations, technical decisions, and operational procedures.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

• Assist in the development of Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI solutions.

• Prepare and provision data for training, evaluation, and model utilization.

• Develop integrations with language models, AI APIs, and AI services.

• Contribute to crafting solutions using RAG, embeddings, semantic search, vector databases, and AI agents.

• Aid in the deployment, monitoring, and evolution of AI applications in production settings.

• Evaluate quality, performance, security, scalability, and costs of developed solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields.

• Proficient in Python and SQL.

• Familiar with databases, system integration, or data processing.

• Knowledgeable in Git and version control practices.

• Experienced with at least one cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Interested in developing expertise in data engineering, cloud architecture, and Artificial Intelligence.

• Capable of analyzing problems, proposing solutions, and learning new technologies.

• Possesses good communication skills and is comfortable working with both technical and business teams.

• Equivalent professional experience may be accepted irrespective of academic qualifications.

• Experienced with data or AI solutions in corporate settings.

• Knowledgeable about event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing.

• Experienced with data governance, lineage, security, and data quality.

• Familiar with FinOps and cloud cost optimization.

• Holds certifications in cloud, data engineering, or Artificial Intelligence.

• Possesses postgraduate degrees or courses in Data Engineering, Cloud Computing, Data Science, Solution Architecture, or Artificial Intelligence.

• Experienced with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Jupyter Notebook, or Metabase.
