Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain data pipelines across SAP, Microsoft Azure, and the analytics ecosystem utilizing Velocity, Theobald, and the Intelligent Data Platform (IDP).

• Execute data preparation and transformation workflows using Alteryx.

• Provide L1.5-L3 support for incidents related to data pipelines by monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving issues.

• Collaborate with Pulse to support data quality initiatives.

• Document data flows and the architecture of pipelines.

• Implement improvements to pipelines and introduce new functionalities.

• Work alongside business and technical teams to guarantee reliable data availability and quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a comparable field.

• Proven experience in developing ETL/ELT pipelines and troubleshooting production data pipelines; ideally, you possess over 3 years of experience in data engineering, ETL, or data integration roles.

• Proficient in SQL development and scripting, complemented by experience with Python.

• Practical experience with Velocity, Theobald, and Alteryx, or similar data integration tools.

• Familiarity with Azure data services and cloud-based data architectures.

• Understanding of data quality, validation, and monitoring practices, along with a comprehensive knowledge of data warehousing and data integration concepts.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

• Proficient in business-level English communication.

• Experience with SAP data ecosystems and enterprise analytics platforms is an advantage.
