Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist in the identification, analysis, and interpretation of trends or patterns within intricate datasets.

• Design and implement data models, including ER models, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema.

• Create and maintain data pipelines utilizing Apache Airflow.

• Execute complex ETL/ELT processes with tools such as Python, Apache Spark, Sqoop, Scala, Databricks, and SQL.

• Oversee code versioning using Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).

• Collaborate with components in AWS/Azure cloud environments.

• Enhance scripts, data components, and queries for optimal performance.

• Filter and cleanse data by analyzing reports and performance and quality indicators.

• Prepare datasets for predictive and prescriptive modeling tasks.

• Create and implement dashboards for data representation.

• Display data visually through effective data visualization and storytelling techniques.

• Assist in defining and documenting architecture roadmaps and standards.

• Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information requirements.

• Provide support to project teams and other department members.

• Adhere to procedures, legal standards, instructions, and Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or Information Systems (mandatory).

• 5 years of relevant professional experience.

• Advanced proficiency in Databricks (preferred).

• Advanced expertise in Data Engineering, Big Data, or Analytics (preferred).

• Basic proficiency in English.

• Technical understanding of data modeling, database design, and data mining processes.

• Skills in data collection, organization, and analysis.

• Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, Scala, and Java.

• Familiarity with Power BI.

• Knowledge of data visualization and storytelling methodologies.

• Understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum, Lean, and Kanban.

• Basic knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms.

• Fundamental understanding of mathematical and statistical computations.

• Knowledge of Big Data, Business Intelligence, data warehousing, and ETL processes.

• Comprehension of data architecture designs.

• Familiarity with observability tools.

• Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, commitment, organization, attention to detail, resilience, as well as analytical and investigative capabilities.
