Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nigeria.

📋 Description

• Develop reliable pipelines to gather data from diverse sources

• Continuously enhance and uphold ETL/ELT processes

• Ensure that well-defined and user-friendly tables address business challenges

• Evaluate code contributions from other data teams for quality assurance

• Optimize processing to manage expenses effectively

• Create orchestration, version control, and lineage systems

• Identify bottlenecks and maintain a robust CI/CD pipeline

• Convert non-technical requirements into actionable tasks

• Collaborate with engineers to determine the optimal usage of generated data

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher

• At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in data engineering roles after NYSC

• Strong SQL expertise with practical experience in querying and joining large datasets

• Proficiency in Python programming

• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git

• Experience using Terraform for infrastructure management and access control

• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

• Direct experience in healthcare, health insurance, or insurance is a plus
