This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and maintain scalable data pipelines that facilitate reporting, analytics, and operational business requirements.

• Develop processes for data ingestion and integration from a diverse range of structured and unstructured data sources.

• Create and enhance data transformations utilizing SQL, Databricks, and Azure-based technologies.

• Support both batch and real-time data processing solutions.

• Implement data quality, validation, and monitoring processes to ensure reliable and trustworthy data assets.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipeline performance, reliability, and data quality.

• Develop conceptual and logical data models aligned with business reporting needs.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to comprehend data requirements and convert them into scalable solutions.

• Work alongside application development teams to understand source systems and create efficient data flows into enterprise data environments.

• Support data governance initiatives through standardization, documentation, and quality controls.

• Collaborate closely with Data Systems Analysts, Analytics teams, and Technology partners to address business challenges using data.

• Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Utilize modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools to enhance solution delivery and efficiency.

• Share knowledge and mentor less experienced team members.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 4+ years of experience in a dedicated Data Engineering position.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in building and supporting data pipelines and data integration solutions.

• Strong experience with Databricks in a production setting.

• Proficient SQL development skills.

• Experience utilizing Azure-based data services.

• Background in supporting reporting, analytics, systems integration, and data governance initiatives.

• Proven expertise in conceptual and logical data modeling.

• Familiarity with both structured and unstructured data.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
