Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend data pipelines and ETL solutions.

• Creating scalable and dependable data processing systems using Python, SQL, and AWS.

• Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to streamline build, test, and deployment processes.

• Collaborating with data engineers, architects, product owners, and business partners to gather and understand requirements.

• Writing clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.

• Diagnosing and resolving issues related to data, performance, and reliability.

• Engaging in code reviews to give and receive constructive feedback.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in software development, primarily focused on backend or data engineering.

• Proficient in Python and Spark for backend development and data processing tasks.

• Strong SQL expertise, including experience with large datasets and query optimization.

• Practical experience with AWS services, preferably including EMR, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools that facilitate automated build, test, and deployment processes.

• Thorough understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, including version control with GitHub and Jenkins for automated testing.

• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities.
