Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain extensive data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment pipelines.

• Create and manage distributed data processing services utilizing Java, Python, Kafka, and associated ecosystems.

• Architect scalable, resilient, and high-performance data infrastructures.

• Develop and enhance data models tailored for analytics, search, graph, and operational workloads.

• Deploy and oversee applications within Kubernetes-based environments.

• Collaborate with cloud-native services in AWS and/or GCP while accommodating hybrid and on-premises deployments.

• Work alongside customers, integration teams, and solution architects to ensure successful implementations.

• Monitor, diagnose, and optimize platform performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Contribute to infrastructure automation, CI/CD workflows, and platform engineering initiatives.

• Travel domestically and internationally as required for customer engagements, workshops, and deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or Platform Engineering.

• Proficient programming skills in Java and/or Python.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes and container-based applications (Docker).

• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or other public cloud platforms.

• Experience in supporting or managing hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.

• Strong grasp of distributed systems and multithreaded applications.

• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Experience in creating and managing production-grade data pipelines.

• Excellent troubleshooting and operational capabilities.

• Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience in designing and managing multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.

• Familiarity with data platforms deployed in highly regulated or air-gapped on-premises settings.

• Knowledge of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure best practices.

• Experience collaborating directly with customer-facing engineering teams.
