Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance the company's data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse architecture.

• Create and refine ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion and transformation.

• Develop and sustain robust, scalable data pipelines.

• Execute database modeling utilizing design patterns and dimensional modeling (Kimball).

• Set up and manage data infrastructure within AWS environments.

• Support and improve the existing infrastructure.

• Orchestrate data workflows using dbt and Prefect.

• Collaborate with data warehouse platforms such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, and Snowflake.

• Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of data systems.

• Establish and uphold data governance across the organization.

• Implement best practices for data engineering and data quality.

• Support governance and back-office teams.

• Work alongside marketing, sales, technology, and other business teams.

• Develop automations, dashboards, and metrics to fulfill the needs of various departments.

• Convert business rules into technical data solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed or ongoing degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Engineering.

• Strong experience with SQL and programming, preferably in Python.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL.

• Understanding of AWS infrastructure.

• Proficiency in data orchestration tools: Prefect and dbt.

• Knowledge of data warehouse platforms: Snowflake or Redshift.

• Familiarity with design patterns and dimensional modeling (Kimball) and/or database modeling.

• Knowledge of data architectures and the modeling of Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse structures.

• Understanding of data solution architecture.
