β’ Develop and sustain data pipelines and processing workflows for large-scale geolocation datasets.
β’ Collaborate with analytical and relational databases (such as ClickHouse and PostgreSQL) focusing on schema design, query optimization, and integration strategies.
β’ Create and implement backend microservices using FastAPI, integrated within a wider event-driven architecture.
β’ Work closely with product teams, designers, and fellow engineers in a cross-functional environment, contributing to product decisions beyond mere implementation.
β’ Produce clean, production-ready Python code with an emphasis on code quality, testability, and maintainability.
β’ Actively utilize AI-assisted tools in your daily workflow and contribute to the development of AI agents and multi-agent systems that enhance the efficiency with which our users achieve critical insights.
β’ Proficient in Python - producing idiomatic, well-structured code; you prioritize maintainability and readability over merely executing tasks.
β’ Experience in data engineering - practical knowledge of data pipelines, transformations, or working with analytical or relational databases; foundational skills are more crucial than extensive experience.
β’ Backend development expertise with FastAPI or similar frameworks - experience in building and delivering web backend services in Python; familiarity with FastAPI is advantageous but not mandatory.
β’ Understanding of event-driven architectures - knowledge of async patterns, message queues, or event streaming (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
β’ Commitment to code quality - you write tests, carefully review code, and consider future developers who will interact with your codebase.
β’ Adaptability to change and uncertainty - you do not require all the answers upfront; you iterate, ask insightful questions, and keep progressing.
β’ Willingness to embrace AI-augmented development - you currently utilize AI tools as a genuine productivity boost, or you are keen to adopt this approach; we recognize this is a novel practice for many engineers and are ready to support your journey, but genuine interest and motivation to work this way are essential.
β’ Interest in AI agents - familiarity with creating agentic systems or multi-agent workflows, or a clear enthusiasm to cultivate this skill on the job.
β’ Product-oriented mindset - you engage with the rationale behind the work, not just the tasks; you take ownership of results, not just activities.
